上海燎原双语学校用关于“丰收”的手作告别秋天!| 初中部金秋丰收艺术文化节


近期,初中部组织了“2022金秋丰收艺术文化节”活动,要求学生以中西文化中共有的“南瓜”为创作载体进行构思创作,营造多元文化氛围的同时感受艺术的魅力。

Golden Autumn Harvest Art and Culture Festival

Over the past few weeks, LYBS Middle School has organized the 2022 Golden Autumn Harvest Art and Culture Festival. Students were asked to use 'pumpkins’, which is common in both Chinese and western cultures, as a creative vehicle to create a multicultural atmosphere while experiencing the charms of art making.

秋天,是一个收获希望的季节,秋天,是一个金色的季节。此时,举国上下迎来了中国共产党第20次全国代表大会的顺利召开。习总书记的报告强调:我们要推进文化自信自强,铸就社会主义文化新辉煌;我们要增强中华文明传播力影响力,坚守中华文化立场,讲好中国故事、传播好中国声音,展现可信、可爱、可敬的中国形象,推动中华文化更好走向世界。

值此之际,初中部组织了2022“金秋丰收艺术文化节”活动,旨在为营造学习党的二十大精神的氛围添上重彩的一笔。活动设计在六七年级中开展,要求学生以中西文化中共有的“南瓜”为创作载体,在教师的指导下,以个人或集体小组合作为创作的基本形式进行构思创作,并在作品展示的同时介绍作者们的创作思想。

今天我们看到的展品是一个个南瓜被设计成各种形态,或象一个碗或似一个盘子或呈现一个灯笼,尽管在载体上的涂鸦、镌刻略显稚嫩,但在每一根线条或每一道刻画中,我们看到了中国传统文化的元素,看到了孩子们美好的期盼,看到了团队协作精神。活动让孩子们展现了自身的艺术创作、手工制作等能力,活动同时也培养锻炼了学生的协作沟通能力。

祖国的未来寄托在孩子们的身上,他们也同样承载着燎原学校的未来。坚持“立德树人、五育并举”,培养具有高素养的学生是燎原学校持之以恒的办学目标。愿他(她)们在燎原终身学习者社区,享受“美育”、体现“合作”,在校园生活的每一刻、每一面收获进步,天天向上,茁壮成长。

Autumn is the golden season of harvest. During such beautiful moments, China successfully held the 20th CPC National Congress. In the report delivered by President Xi Jinping, it is highly stressed that we must stick to the strategy of revitalizing China through science and education, as well as giving priority to the development of education, so as to foster a new generation of young people who have all-rounded moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetical grounding with a hard-working spirit. We must also strengthen our cultural confidence and build new socialist cultural achievements. We must present Chinese cultural stories to the world well, displaying the Chinese image which is trustworthy, lovely and respectable.

Over the past few weeks, LYBS Middle School has organized the 2022 Golden Autumn Harvest Art and Culture Festival, to mark the 20th CPC National Congress. This festival activity is planned for students in Grade 6 and Grade 7. Students are supposed to create handicrafts out of the pumpkins which are a cultural symbol in both Chinese and western cultures. With the guidance of their teachers, students worked in teams to complete their creations.

These handicrafts done by students may look simple, with the pumpkins shaped or painted into different items, like a bowl, a plate or even a lantern. However, from the painting or carving done on the pumpkins, we can see Chinese cultural elements, identify the sense of students’ expectations and feel their teamwork spirit. Students have obviously benefited a lot from this activity, with their skills improved.

The future of China as well as LYBS relies on them. Nurturing students of high qualities is our educational goal. We wish to see all of our students learning, growing and developing happily in LYBS everyday.
